メルロの果実味をカベルネ フランで下支えした、美しいスタイルのワイン。 2019年のワインの中で、文句なしに満点に近いと言える数少ないワインの一つです。私はアン・プリムールでは100点をつけないが、これは桁外れに美味しく、すでにボトルで味わうのが待ち遠しい。by.デキャンター ラ・コンセイヤント、ペトリュス、ヴュー・シャトー・セルタンなど、ポムロル地区の数々の輝かしいシャトーに隣接しているシャトー・レヴァンジル。レヴァンジルの歴史は18世紀半ばにまで遡り、1741年に「CH.FAZILLEAU」という名前で設立されました。その後、幾度か所有者を変えた後、1957年にルイ・デュカス氏が購入。デュカス家は当時、霜害により荒廃していた畑の再建と、レヴァンジルの名声を取り戻すことに貢献しました。 1990年にドメーヌ・バロン・ド・ロスチャイルドが所有者となり、それ以来、セラーの改装などを行い、ますます品質が向上。実質的にはペトリュスやラ・フルール・ペトリュスと比較しても、 遜色がないと言われているシャトーです。 また、 市場に出回る数が少なく見つけ出すのも難しい、稀少なワインとしても有名で、サン・テミリオン地区のシュヴァル・ブランとも境を接しているという好立地は、右岸好きならずとも気持ちが高まるシャトーなのです。 ポムロールとサン・テミリオンの境界に位置しており、砂利混じりの粘土・砂質土壌に22haの畑を所有しています。醸造はラフィットの技術責任者エリック コレールの下、伝統的な手法でワイン造りを行っています。メルロによる果実味とカベルネ フランの骨格やフィネスが共演する偉大なワインです。熟した果実香が豊かで、静けさの中に深い奥行きを感じさせた口当たりも重厚です。 CHATEAU L'EVANGILE シャトー・レヴァンジル 生産地：フランス ボルドー ポムロル 原産地呼称：AOC. Seductive, rich, mouth-filling to the point that you really understand what that means. Just pops out of your mouth, with evident density of luscious blackberry and brambled raspberry fruit but also vertical climb through the palate. Violet notes marry with baked earth, grilled liquorice, tension and seduction. Highest level of Cabernet Franc in the blend in recent history, and first time that they have used all of the Cabernet Franc available in the vineyard - also first time to have this touch of Cabernet Sauvignon since the Rothschilds arrived at the property. Have I tasted a better l'Evangile? Certainly not at this stage, and one of the very few wines in 2019 that I can say without question approaches a perfect score. I don't give 100s at En Primeur but this is off the scale delicious, and I already can't wait to taste it in bottle. Full-bodied, rich and velvety, it's a broad, textural wine with a richly layered core of fruit, succulent acids and ripe, supple tannins that reflects the warm, dry vintage. As usual, it's a Merlot-dominant blend, complemented by some 16% Cabernet Franc and now 1% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2019 vintage marks a period of transition at L'Evangile. Most obviously, it's the last vintage produced by Jean-Pascal Vazart, before Juliette Couderc and Olivier Tregoat took the reins at this Pomerol benchmark, sandwiched between the likes of La Conseillante, Cheval Blanc, Vieux Ch?teau Certan and Petrus. But it's also a waypoint in the life of the vines, fully 22 hectares of which have been replanted since 2001, and which now have an average age of 15 years. In warmer, drier vintages, canopies are being hedged lower to mitigate against excess sugar accumulation; systematic de-leafing is no longer employed; cover crops are protecting the soils; and a row of Cabernet Sauvignon is increasingly making it into the grand vin, traditionally a blend of more or less 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Attempts are also being made to rein in this wine's tendency to opulence: the 2019 already saw only 75% new oak instead of entirely new barrels, and the technical team is refining cooperage choices (80% of the barrels are made in house at Lafite), looking for more discreet toasts adapted to Evangile, and experimenting with amphorae and now a foudre. Of course, timing harvest is crucial, and more and more the vineyard is picked by soil type instead of by block. The 2019 l'Evangile already reflects some of these evolutions?just as it does the richness and maturity of which Evangile's Merlot is capable in a warm, dry vintage such as this?and it will be exciting to follow them to their conclusion in the years to come.

It has a captivating bouquet of intense blackberry, cedar, Japanese nori and sea spray notes on the nose, all exquisitely defined and poised. The harmonious palate is medium-bodied and classic in style, with pencil-lead-infused black fruit, lovely poise and not a single hair out of place toward the finish. What a wine! Towering and vertical in its bearing, the 2019 is a total stunner. There is plenty of Lynch Bages charm, but what distinguishes the 2019 most is its spine of tannin and energy. Time in the glass brings out sweet red cherry, plum, blood orange and pomegranate and mint. The 2019 is a great, great, great Lynch Bages. It reminds me of the epic 1989, but with the youthful grip of this vintage. Picked from September 12 to October 9 and matured in 60% new oak, it has a gorgeous, seductive bouquet of pure blackberry, bilberry, crushed iris petals and just a hint of licorice. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and good cohesion and depth. The oak is seamlessly integrated on the finish, which lingers like a temptress. Two samples tasted, the second demonstrating a little more salinity on the aftertaste. The numbers speak for themselves: until 2000, Pichon-Longueville Baron produced some 350,000 bottles per year; since 2001, that figure has fallen to 160,000. Managing director Christian Seely's first decision on arriving at the property was to reduce production, focusing the grand vin on Cabernet Sauvignon growing on the deep gravel terraces opposite Ch?teau Latour that have always been the heart of this historic estate and which were the source of the great duo of 1989 and 1990 before being joined by other holdings after a series of acquisitions in the early 1990s. The results speak for themselves in the form of a series of excellent vintages, and things improved further with the construction of a new barrel cellar in 2006, permitting better temperature control and more precision during ?levage. In style, Pichon Baron these days has more in common stylistically with the depth and structure of Latour than it does with the perfumed sensuality of its sibling, Pichon Lalande; and in quality, it's clearly one of contemporary Bordeaux's greatest wines. It's hard to know whether 2010, 2016 or 2019 will emerge as the best Pichon Baron of the decade?and of Seely's tenure up to the time of writing?but what is certain is that the 2019 is a striking wine that any Bordeaux lover would want to have in their cellar. It will spend 18 months in a mix of new and used barrels. Classic Barton notes of cassis, scorched earth, burning embers, new leather, and violets emerge from the glass, and this beauty is full-bodied, massively concentrated, and structured on the palate, yet it has a beautiful elegance as well as a plushness in its texture. Nevertheless, it's not for those seeking instant gratification and is going to need 10-15 years of bottle age to hit maturity. It reminds me of the 1990 and is a great, great wine in the making. Rich and heady in the glass, the 2019 offers up a beguiling mix of dark fruit intermingled with scents to tobacco, gravel, pencil shavings, leather, licorice, scorched earth and cloves. Today, Leoville Barton is decidedly virile, imposing and in need of cellaring. It is also hugely impressive. Leoville Barton is one of the first Bordeaux I tasted, many years ago. It remains a favorite for its combination of quality, personality and fair price, all values the late Anthony Barton championed during his long and distinguished career. Antonio Galloni. 「王のワイン、ワインの王」として愛される、格付け第2級シャトー。 エチケットに堂々と「王のワイン、ワインの王」と記されているとおり、1855年の格付け当時、第一級シャトーに次いで取引価格が高かったのが、グリュオ・ラローズだったというのは有名な話です。「現在でも愛されている第2級格付けのひとつ」と称されています。サン・ジュリアンはポイヤックとマルゴーに挟まれた土地柄、両者の中庸的なスタイルと説明されることが多いですが、そのサン・ジュリアンの美点を余すところなく表現しているのがこのシャトーです。また、第二級シャトーの中で最大級の生産量を誇り、年によって品質にムラがなく、安心して買えるというのも魅力です。 「シャトー・グリュオ・ラローズ」は、ブドウを収穫後、約24～29℃に温度管理された木樽とセメントタンクで20～30日間発酵。果汁を圧搾後、新樽を用いたフレンチオーク樽で約18～24ヵ月間熟成します。凝縮された果実味がたっぷり味わえるのは勿論のこと、熟成するほどに濃密さは増し、タンニンもこなれ、柔かいビロードのような舌触りを楽しめます。 重厚さが特徴的な造りになっており、豊かなタンニンが熟成能力の高さを物語っています。艶やかさよりも、能ある鷹は爪を隠す…的な印象を強く受けるワインかもしれません。 CHATEAU GRUAUD LAROSE シャトー・グリュオ・ラローズ 生産地：フランス ボルドー サン・ジュリアン 原産地呼称：AOC. Red fruit, cedar, leather, tobacco, smoke and dried herbs reveal themselves with some coaxing. Imposing tannins and some slightly rough contours suggest cellaring is a must. Espresso, chocolate, iron, leather, licorice and sweet spice add to an impression of virile power and intensity. Big, strapping tannins add to an impression of muscle. The 2019 needs time, but it is a hugely promising wine. ローラン・ポンソの「こだわり」が詰まったネゴシアン。 「ローラン・ポンソ」として、これまで以上に力を入れているというACブルゴーニュ!! 2017年2月、ローラン・ポンソが36年間携わったドメーヌ・ポンソを離れ、その直後の同年4月に、ネゴシアン「ローラン・ポンソ社」を立ち上げた。オフィスは、ジリー・レ・シトー村の産業地区に構え、このオフィス裏とコルゴロワンに熟成用の設備や、畑作業用の機器置場をもつ。2018年1月には愛息のクレメンが当主に着任している。 ワインは、ローラン自身とクルチエのネットワークから質の高いブドウを購入して造られる。ブドウ、圧搾果汁、発酵果汁の状態で購入するが、まれにごく初期の樽に入った状態ものも含まれ、収穫直後できる限り早くセラーに持ち込まれる。ワインになった完成品の状態や瓶詰直前のものを購入することは絶対にしない。また、ローランがドメーヌ・ポンソの頃から所有していた畑もあり、ローラン・ポンソ社が形式的にブドウを買い取る形で醸造する。 「ブルゴーニュ・ブラン キュヴェ・デュ・パルス・ネージュ」は、ローラン・ポンソでは白ワインには花の名前がキュヴェ名に付けられています。パルス・ネージュ＝「雪の花／スノードロップ」という意味で、2月から3月に花を咲かせるため、春の訪れを告げる花として知られているようです。 やさしく、エレガントな気品ある味わいが広がります。 ローラン氏曰く、「グランクリュやヴィラージュを造るのは簡単。ブルゴーニュACがチャレンジングなんだ」と語るように、最も下位のクラスから妥協のない造りで、ポンソ時代を彷彿とさせるスタイル！ 美しい白のブルゴーニュの色は、淡いゴールドで、時折シルバーイエローのハイライトが入る。サンザシの花、甘草、レモン、新鮮なブドウの香りに、スイカズラ、洋ナシ、ブリオッシュ、ヨード、マジパン、ナッツ、桃、パイナップルの暖かいニュアンスが特徴的です。味わいは肉厚でフルーティ、フレッシュで塩味の効いた細身のフィニッシュで、甘草やエキゾチックフルーツのアロマが感じられます。 白ブルゴーニュのフレッシュさとフルーティなしなやかさは、新鮮で香ばしいタパスとともにアペリティフに、あるいはハーブ入りソフト卵、エビとフレッシュチーズを詰めたマッシュルームとチャイブ、魚のロースト、野菜のローストとフェタチーズ、ほうれん草とリコッタのラビオリなどとともにブランチに、完璧な相性を見せてくれる。 そしてもちろんこのワインは、グジェール、カタツムリ、霜降りハムなどのブルゴーニュ料理と忠実に相性が良いのです。 LAURENT PONSOT BOURGOGNE BLANC CUVEE DU PERCE NEIGE ローラン・ポンソ ブルゴーニュ・ブラン キュヴェ・デュ・パルス・ネージュ 生産地：フランス ブルゴーニュ 原産地呼称：AOC. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins. This is a juicy Clos de Vougeot, a little savory and quite peppery on the finish, which you might misconstrue as a result of some stem addition. Medium to full-bodied, vibrant and tightly wound, with fine depth at the core and youthfully chalky grip on the finish, it's another fine medium- to long-term proposition.
