・お届け予定：2027年(2年後)秋から冬 ・WA 92-94点 (パーカーポイント) ・AG 93-95点 (アントーニオ・ガッローニ) ・シャトーオリジナル木箱入り シャトー・レオヴィル・バルトンはメドック第二級に格付けされるシャトーです。1821年にランゴワを既に買収ししていたアイルランド系のバルトン家が1826年にドメーヌ・レオヴィルの一部を購入したのがその歴史の始まりです。1983年にアントニー・バルトンが、2010年にはその娘のリリアン・バルトンがシャトーを継承し、現在はバルトン家初の醸造家となったメラニー・バルトンと10代目当主となったダミアン・バルトンの姉弟がこの歴史ある二つのシャトーを指揮しています。約50ヘクタールの敷地は、メドック北部サンジュリアンの中心にあり、ジロンド川の臨む排水性に優れた砂利質土壌が広がります。2012年からオーガニックへと転換し、現在では多くのシャトーで採用され始めたアグロフォレストリーに2010年代から取り組んでいます。2021年には最新の醸造所が稼働。より小さな醸造タンクが導入され、パーセル毎に醸造できるようになり、正確さと緻密さが増しました。栽培面積はカベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン77%、メルロー20%、カベルネ・フラン3%の構成。レオヴィル3兄弟はその品質を考えるといずれもお買い得ですが、中でもこのレオヴィル・バルトンはボルドー左岸で最も良心的な価格を設定している謙虚なシャトーと言えます。 【2024年ボルドー総評】 「白は香り高く凛とし、赤はしなやかに魅せる。精緻にして繊細な2024」 2022年の偉大なヴィンテージ、そして2023年のクラシックな美質を備えた年に続く2024年は、近年のヴィンテージとは異なるどこか懐かしいボルドーを体験できるヴィンテージとなりそうです。アルコール度数は12.5-13.5%に抑えられ、最近のヴィンテージで見られるような肉厚なスタイルとは異なるエレガントなスタイルは、1990年代のボルドーを想起させます。生育から収穫に至るまでに幾度となく困難が押し寄せた2024年は、生産者の力量により品質にバラつきが見られます。結果、ボルドー全体で生産量は少なくなりましたが、生産者蔵出価格は2022年対比で大幅に価格が下がった2023年よりもさらに下がり、生産者によっては2022年対比で50-60%減、2023年比で約30％減でのリリースが予想されます。また超円安だった昨年よりも円高に振れている日本市場では、昨年よりも多くの恩恵を受けられるでしょう。 2024年ヴィンテージの生育サイクルを俯瞰してみます。 湿度のある穏やかな冬が明け、生育に理想的な状態で迎えた春。芽吹きは通常より早かったものの、4月初旬の大雨で最初のベト病が発生。平年よりの気温が低かったためにブドウの成長は遅れました。5月後半には乾燥した気候が続き一時的に状況は回復。開花は好条件のもと行われましたが、6月中旬に雷雨が畑を襲い、再びベト病との闘いを強いられました。その後、夏になると状況は一転。乾燥した日が続き、平均的な気温のもとヴェレゾン(色づき)が始まり、適度な水分ストレスはブドウの成熟を助けました。8月後半から収穫終了までは不安定な空模様が続いたため、ブドウの実が適切な段階に熟すまで辛抱したシャトーは良質なブドウの収穫に成功しているでしょう。 白ワインの主要品種となるソーヴィニヨン・ブランとセミヨンは、涼しい夏のおかげでフレッシュでフローラルな仕上がり。いくつかの生産者では2023年に引けを取らない素晴らしい評価を獲得しています。また、甘口ワインは上質な香りと酸を備えた、純度の高い仕上がりです。黒ブドウ品種に関しては、メルロが深刻なダメージを受けたもののグリーン・ハーベスト、除葉、厳しい選果などで収量を絞り対応。濃厚さは控えめながらも、香り高く官能的な深みを持ち合わせた仕上がり。 メドック地方では「カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨンの年」と答える生産者が多く見受けられ、例年よりもカベルネ・ソーヴィニヨンの比率が高くなりました。9月中旬の雨を乗り越え、その後の好天まで収穫を遅らせるリスクを取った生産者では繊細で優雅な気品のあるスタイルに仕上がっています。 2024年の白は全体的に素晴らしい品質に仕上がっていますので安心して購入してください。赤はテロワールと生産者の選択がカギを握るヴィンテージです。サンテミリオンではカベルネの比率が高い生産者が、ポムロルではプラトーに位置する生産者が高い評価を獲得しています。また、ジロンド川に近い砂利質の区画では、クラシックかつ洗練された赤の真価を感じさせる一本に仕上がっています。軽やかな果実味と美しい酸、緻密なタンニンをもつ繊細なスタイルの2024年は、ブルゴーニュ的な要素を備えた注目すべきヴィンテージです。 ルグランは1880年の創業以来、ボルドーの地に深く根を張るネゴシアンとして、現地生産者との緊密な関係を築いてきました。2024年もまた、現地に駐在する専任スタッフが訪ね歩き、この困難に立ち向かい見事に成功を収めたワインを厳選して皆さまのもとへお届けいたします。この特別なヴィンテージの魅力を是非ご体験ください。 ・TERRADA WINE STORAGEへのお預け入れが可能です。 ・TERRADA WINE STORAGE 限定サービス「木箱保管」 対象商品です。 ・日本への輸送は低温管理された船便（リーファー輸送）を使用します ※価格は、フランスからの各種輸入費用を含めた総額表示です。 詳しくはショップページを確認ください。 ※写真はイメージです。ヴィンテージは商品名にてご確認ください。

レオヴィル三兄弟のの一角「レオヴィル・バルトン」！ レオヴィル・バルトンは、その兄弟にあたるランゴア・バルトンより優れていると一般的には思われている。2つのシャトーはともにアントニ・バルトンが所有している。ほかの所有者たちと違って、バルトンはブレンドに、しなやかで肉付きのよいメルロをごくわずかしか使わない（1980年代半ばの植え付けの結果、その割合は20%に引き上げられたが）一方で、カベルネ・ソーヴィニョンの割合はサン・ジュリアンの村のみならず、メドック全般においても高い。 隣のレオヴィル・ポワフェレと同じく、1820年代までラス・カーズ侯爵の広大な領地の一部でした。その後、名門シャトー・ランゴアを手に入れたヒュー・バルトンが、1826年に侯爵の旧領地の1/4に当たる畑を入手し、現在でもバルトン家によって伝統的なタイプのワインを造り続けています。 「レオヴィル・バルトン」は、ワインは香り高いアロマと重過ぎずまとまりの良い味わいというサン・ジュリアンの美点をしっかりと備えたスタイルです。特にカベルネ・ソーヴィニヨンの比率が高く、筋肉質でクラシックな仕上がりが特徴。パーカー氏によれば、「メドックでもっとも適正な価格がついたワインの一つ」とのこと。 CHATEAU LEOVILLE BARTON シャトー・レオヴィル・バルトン 生産地：フランス ボルドー サン・ジュリアン 原産地呼称：AOC. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of cassis and plums mingled with notions of cigar wrapper, sweet loamy soil and violets, it's full-bodied, velvety and layered, with superb concentration, lively acids and rich, powdery tannins. Perfumed and resonant, this is a profound young Pauillac that bears more of a resemblance to its neighbor Ch?teau Latour than to Pichon Lalande this year. Pichon Baron was one of the great deals of the en primeur campaign, and readers who purchased futures are to be congratulated on their foresight. The numbers speak for themselves: until 2000, Pichon-Longueville Baron produced some 350,000 bottles per year; since 2001, that figure has fallen to 160,000. Managing director Christian Seely's first decision on arriving at the property was to reduce production, focusing the grand vin on Cabernet Sauvignon growing on the deep gravel terraces opposite Ch?teau Latour that have always been the heart of this historic estate and which were the source of the great duo of 1989 and 1990 before being joined by other holdings after a series of acquisitions in the early 1990s. The results speak for themselves in the form of a series of excellent vintages, and things improved further with the construction of a new barrel cellar in 2006, permitting better temperature control and more precision during ?levage. In style, Pichon Baron these days has more in common stylistically with the depth and structure of Latour than it does with the perfumed sensuality of its sibling, Pichon Lalande; and in quality, it's clearly one of contemporary Bordeaux's greatest wines. It's hard to know whether 2010, 2016 or 2019 will emerge as the best Pichon Baron of the decade?and of Seely's tenure up to the time of writing?but what is certain is that the 2019 is a striking wine that any Bordeaux lover would want to have in their cellar. It will spend 18 months in a mix of new and used barrels. Classic Barton notes of cassis, scorched earth, burning embers, new leather, and violets emerge from the glass, and this beauty is full-bodied, massively concentrated, and structured on the palate, yet it has a beautiful elegance as well as a plushness in its texture. Nevertheless, it's not for those seeking instant gratification and is going to need 10-15 years of bottle age to hit maturity. It reminds me of the 1990 and is a great, great wine in the making. Rich and heady in the glass, the 2019 offers up a beguiling mix of dark fruit intermingled with scents to tobacco, gravel, pencil shavings, leather, licorice, scorched earth and cloves. Today, Leoville Barton is decidedly virile, imposing and in need of cellaring. It is also hugely impressive. Leoville Barton is one of the first Bordeaux I tasted, many years ago. It remains a favorite for its combination of quality, personality and fair price, all values the late Anthony Barton championed during his long and distinguished career. Antonio Galloni.
