Well-framed and compact wine. Never-ending procession of currant, berry and black cherry fruit, together with licorice, earth and just a hint of black truffle. 90% cabernet sauvignon, 9% merlot and 1% petit verdot. Give this until 2028 to show its true greatness. Today, it is unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage. Powerful and statuesque in its beauty, Mouton is remarkable in every way. Layers of dark-toned fruit confer seriousness and intensity that builds with time. All of the finesse I saw in barrel is still present. Since then, the 2019 has gained flesh and vibrancy. Full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, it's deep and powerful, with huge levels of concentration and an ineffably complete, seamless profile, concluding with a long, resonant finish. Plenty of ripe tannin is hidden by its ample core of fruit, and despite its youthful polish, this will require plenty of bottle age to realize all its potential. This blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot tastes in many respects like the 2016 Mouton's more sun-kissed cousin.

Unfurling in the glass with aromas of cassis and plums mingled with notions of cigar wrapper, sweet loamy soil and violets, it's full-bodied, velvety and layered, with superb concentration, lively acids and rich, powdery tannins. Perfumed and resonant, this is a profound young Pauillac that bears more of a resemblance to its neighbor Ch?teau Latour than to Pichon Lalande this year. Pichon Baron was one of the great deals of the en primeur campaign, and readers who purchased futures are to be congratulated on their foresight. The numbers speak for themselves: until 2000, Pichon-Longueville Baron produced some 350,000 bottles per year; since 2001, that figure has fallen to 160,000. Managing director Christian Seely's first decision on arriving at the property was to reduce production, focusing the grand vin on Cabernet Sauvignon growing on the deep gravel terraces opposite Ch?teau Latour that have always been the heart of this historic estate and which were the source of the great duo of 1989 and 1990 before being joined by other holdings after a series of acquisitions in the early 1990s. The results speak for themselves in the form of a series of excellent vintages, and things improved further with the construction of a new barrel cellar in 2006, permitting better temperature control and more precision during ?levage. In style, Pichon Baron these days has more in common stylistically with the depth and structure of Latour than it does with the perfumed sensuality of its sibling, Pichon Lalande; and in quality, it's clearly one of contemporary Bordeaux's greatest wines. It's hard to know whether 2010, 2016 or 2019 will emerge as the best Pichon Baron of the decade?and of Seely's tenure up to the time of writing?but what is certain is that the 2019 is a striking wine that any Bordeaux lover would want to have in their cellar. It will spend 18 months in a mix of new and used barrels. Classic Barton notes of cassis, scorched earth, burning embers, new leather, and violets emerge from the glass, and this beauty is full-bodied, massively concentrated, and structured on the palate, yet it has a beautiful elegance as well as a plushness in its texture. Nevertheless, it's not for those seeking instant gratification and is going to need 10-15 years of bottle age to hit maturity. It reminds me of the 1990 and is a great, great wine in the making. Rich and heady in the glass, the 2019 offers up a beguiling mix of dark fruit intermingled with scents to tobacco, gravel, pencil shavings, leather, licorice, scorched earth and cloves. Today, Leoville Barton is decidedly virile, imposing and in need of cellaring. It is also hugely impressive. Leoville Barton is one of the first Bordeaux I tasted, many years ago.       ヴォーヌ・ロマネに本拠地を置く、ブドウ本来の魅力を引き出すワイン造り続ける名門ドメーヌが造る1本！ ヴォーヌ・ロマネ村に本拠地を置き、コート・ドールを代表するドメーヌの１つ、メオ・カミュゼ。ブルゴーニュの神様、故アンリ・ジャイエ氏の後継者とも言われる生産者として、世界中のブルゴーニュ愛好家に絶大な人気を誇っています。メオ・カミュゼは、ワインの神様と呼ばれているアンリ・ジャイエ氏がコンサルタントを務めていたことでも有名。 1989年から醸造を担当するジャン＝ニコラ・メオ氏はアンリ・ジャイエ氏に直接指導を受けた数少ない人物のひとりで、その指導のおかげで、風味の深さや果実味のインパクト等、メオ・カミュゼの酒質は向上しました。現在も、ジャン＝ニコラ・メオ氏が経営を行い、畑の仕事は、以前から小作人として働いていたクリスチャン・フロワ氏がこれまでの経験を活かしたアドバイスをしながら行っています。 「コルトン グラン・クリュ レ・ペリエール」 は、コルトンの丘の南東向きの傾斜の畑で豊富な日照量に支えられた2015年は今後の熟成が楽しみな様子が感じられます。赤い果実の香りにほんのりとキノコのニュアンス、角の取れ始めた酸と良年らしい豊かな果実味が調和しています。 ■テクニカル情報■ 収穫は全て手摘み。これまでアンリ・ジャイエ氏の醸造法に倣い、100%除梗を行っていましたが、2004年から全房発酵を試験的に導入。2011年以降、エシェゾーグラン・クリュレ・ルージュ・デュ・バ、ヴォーヌ・ロマネの1級畑、オー・クロ・パラントゥ、ニュイ・サン・ジョルジュのオー・ブドーには全房発酵したワインが、約15%ずつ含まれています。その結果、造りだされるワインは、これまでの果実味重視のスタイルから、より複雑味を備えエレガントなスタイルへと変化しつつあります。新樽の使用については、グラン・クリュとプルミエ・クリュは100%、その他のワインは約50%にて18ヵ月熟成。その後、ノンフィルターで瓶詰されます。 Domaine Meo Camuzet Corton Les Perrieres Grand Cru ドメーヌ・メオ・カミュゼ コルトン グラン・クリュ レ・ペリエール 生産地：フランス ブルゴーニュ コート・ド・ボーヌ アロース・コルトン 原産地呼称：AOC. Medium to full-bodied, vibrant and tightly wound, with fine depth at the core and youthfully chalky grip on the finish, it's another fine medium- to long-term proposition.
