デスセンディエンテス・デ・ホセ・パラシオスから購入した畑のブドウから造られるラウル・ペレスの新プロジェクト! ボデガス・ビアリスは、ラウル・ペレス、アルフォンソ・カラスコサ、そしてラウル・ペレスの投資家たちによるビエルソの新しいプロジェクトで、デスセンディエンテス・デ・ホセ・パラシオスから購入したブドウ畑を所有している。ビアリスは村の名前で、ブドウ畑はすべてそこにある。7ヘクタールの畑を所有しているが、ブドウの木がたくさん欠けているため、手間をかけてやっと5,000キロのブドウが収穫できる。ビエルソの中でも最も標高の高い畑で海抜1,045mの畑。7haの畑を所有するが、ブドウ樹が少ないので、5,000キロのブドウを収穫するのがやっとで、１キロ当たりのブドウの値段がとても高くなる。ビエルソの他のエリアより急斜面で畑は馬で耕作する。2019VTから瓶詰し、2020, 2021を生産した。 ■ラウル・ペレスについて■ ビエルソにて1752年からブドウ栽培の歴史を持つ家系に生まれる。バレンシアの醸造学校で学んだ後、実家であるボデガ・カストロ・ベントーサに参画。衛生管理の向上に加え、単一区画の概念を導入。少量生産に方向転換を行い、短期間での品質向上を成し遂げた。2007年には自身のドメーヌとなるボデガス・イ・ビニェドス・ラウル・ペレスを設立。メンシアとゴデーリョで生み出す唯一無二のワインは瞬く間に多くのワイン評論家・愛好家の心を掴んだ。栽培・醸造では『自然をリスペクトし、ブドウに与える影響を最小限にする』がモットー。畑は馬を使って耕し、醸造では各区画の個性が発揮されるよう最低限のSO2のみ添加、オークのニュアンスがワインを覆わないよう新樽使用も控えている。『欠陥のあるワインは失敗作だ』と語るラウルの作品は、正確性と透明感を兼ね備えている。 「ビアリス」は、村の名前にちなんで名づけられたビアリス村の赤ワイン。複数区画のブレンド。標高が高く、収穫量の少ないブドウ畑のブドウから造られている。ここではブドウの成熟に苦労している。土壌は非常にコンパクトで、馬を使った作業は大変だが、結果は素晴らしい。10月初旬に収穫され、全房は土着酵母とともにオーク樽で発酵される。 「エレガントでフローラル、クリーンでとても華やか。ワインは素晴らしいエレガンス、バランス、純粋さを持つ。これは、これまで私が知らなかったビエルソの新しい顔だ。素晴らしいフィネス！6000本が生産された。ボトリングは2023年初頭。」by.WA ■テクニカル情報■ ブドウ：メンシア95%、 残りはバスタルド、パニカルネ、ドニャ・ブランカ、ゴデーリョ、パロミノ 樹齢：80-90年(2024.3確認時） ロケーション：Corullon、海抜：900-1045m、南ー南東向き、5.15ha、複数区画のブレンド、土壌：スレートと花崗岩 栽培：手作業での収穫、馬での耕作 醸造：100%全房。バリックで発酵、無清澄だが濾過あり。 熟成：バリック(225L)&500L樽12ヶ月。新樽なし Bodegas Viariz Viariz (Raul Perez) ボデガス・ビアリス ビアリス (ラウル・ペレス) 生産地：スペイン カスティーリャ・イ・レオン州 原産地呼称：D.O.BIERZO 品種：メンシア 95%、バスタルド&パニカルネ&ドニャ・ブランカ&ゴデーリョ&パロミノ 5% アルコール度数：12.5% 味わい：赤ワイン 辛口 フルボディ ワインアドヴォケイト：96 ポイント The Wine Advocate RP 96 Reviewed by: Luis Gutierrez Release Price: $100 Drink Date: 2023 - 2032 The village red 2021 Viariz, named after the village, comes from high-altitude and low-yielding vines from different vineyards, including some in La Muria, which is also bottled on its own, plus La Tora, Las Pozas and some other plots, all on slate soils. The grapes struggle to ripen here-the wine is labeled at 12% alcohol. They started here in 2019, but the vintage that they feel comfortable with is 2021. The soils are very compact, and it's a lot of work with the horses, but the results are spectacular. It was picked in early October, and the full clusters fermented in oak vats with indigenous yeasts. It's elegant and floral, clean and very showy. The wine has great elegance, balance and purity. This is a new face of Bierzo previously unknown to me. Great finesse! Some 6,000 bottles were produced. It was bottled in early 2023. Price is still tentative. Viariz is a new project in Bierzo from Raul Perez, Alfonso Carrascosa and the investors of Raul Perez with vineyards they bought from Descendientes de Jose Palacios, including the highest vineyard in Bierzo, at 1,045 meters in altitude. Viariz is the name of the village, and all the vineyards are there. They have seven hectares, but there are lots of missing vines so that they barely get 5,000 kilograms of grapes from that extension with a lot of work; so, the price per kilogram of grapes turns out to be really expensive. They are still in the process of recovering the vineyards and decompacting the soil, which is very hard. They work everything by horse and organically; it's all steep slopes above the rest of Bierzo. They started in 2019 and have wines from 2019, 2020 and 2021, but nothing has been released yet and they are unsure how they are going to do it. I only tasted a small sample and was blown away by some of the wines. They still don't have importers either. It's very seldom that something like this flies under the radar, and I couldn't believe that Perez was hesitant to show me the wines. The top of the range from 2021, called La Muria-the name of the vineyard-really made my hard beat faster. I was a bit unsure but wanted to follow my heart. I uncorked and drank another bottle a few days later, and the feeling was the same. A true coup de coeur! This will make a lot of noise.
