Plum, black cherry, lavender, blood orange menthol, and a host of more mineral-driven notes punctuate this super-expressive wine. This is a decidedly tannic and powerful edition of The Flight. I can't wait to see how it ages. Bottled just six weeks before this tasting, the 2016 appears to have a very bright future. Time in the glass brings out some of the softer edges that will almost surely emerge with cellaring. The Flight is built on a core of older Merlot vines from the southeast corner of the estate. パルメの最高責任者が、19世紀にローヌ地方のエルミタージュをブレンドしていた悪しき慣習を肯定的に捉え、最高のものを生み出すべく再興させたのがこちらのキュヴェ。北部ローヌ最高のシラーに、パルメのカベルネ・ソーヴィニヨンとメルロをブレンドし、18ヶ月の熟成を行うもので、僅か250ケース程の生産量。パルメらしいしなやかさはそのままに、シラー特有の豊かなタンニンとスパイシーなアロマが加わり、噛み締めるようなボディの強さが感じられる出来映えです。葡萄は全て2014年産ですが、シラーをブレンドしている為、カテゴリーはヴァン・ド・ターブルとなります。

Medium-bodied and firmly textured by superbly ripe, grainy tannins, it has a fantastic core of intense, complex layers, finishing on an edifying mineral note. Wow! Jeb Dunnuck：100ポイント A perfect wine is the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petit Verdot, which is a classic blend from this incredible estate. Sporting a deep purple color as well as an extraordinary bouquet of ultra-pure creme de cassis, blueberries, camphor, scorched earth, and licorice, with subtle background oak, it hits the palate with a full-bodied, deep, powerful texture that carries sweet tannins and blockbuster length. With a stacked mid-palate, straight-up awesome purity of fruit, and a huge finish, it's as classic and brilliant as it gets. Reminding me of the 2013 with its pure yet backward style, give bottles 4-5 years of bottle age and it will keep for 3-4 decades. 【蔵出しバックヴィンテージ！】フリーマーク・アビーのアイコン的単一畑シリーズ"ボッシェ・ヴィンヤード" ナパで16番目に設立されたワイナリーで、ナパのワイン産業発展に大きく貢献し続けてきたフリーマークアビー。1976年パリスの審判では、唯一、赤ワイン白ワインともに出品しました。 フリーマーク・アビーのアイコン的単一畑シリーズ"ボッシェ・ヴィンヤード" ハイウェイ29号の西側に位置し、約9haの畑。主にドライファーミングを実施し、ラザフォードらしいブドウを生み出す。暗いルビー色、花のようなノートにフルボディでしっかりとした果実味。 砂利質のローム層土壌。生育期には地下水脈により、新芽が育つのを促進する。さらに生育期が進むと、地下水脈はさらに深くなり、根の張るエリアを通り過ぎるため、ブドウの樹には適度なストレスがかかり、ブドウの熟度を高め、より複雑な香りをもたらす。 5日間低温醸しの後、ステンレスタンクにて24-30度で10-28日間発酵。フレンチオーク樽(新樽60%)で28ヶ月間熟成。 濃いルビー色の色調。ボッシェのカベルネの特徴は甘いブラックチェリーのアロマ。樽由来のスパイスと黒系果実のバランスが良い。しっかりとした香り、妖艶であ柔らかくなめらか、そして深みのある味わい。 FREEMARK ABBEY CABERNET BOSCHE CABERNET SAUVIGNON ブドウ品種：カベルネ ソーヴィニヨン 88% / メルロ 12% ワインアドヴォケイト：94+ポイント Drink Date 2018 - 2038 Reviewed by Robert M. Parker, Jr. Issue Date 30th Apr 2014 Source 212, The Wine Advocate The 2004 Cabernet Bosche Vineyard, which sits on alluvial, gravelly soils in Rutherford and is one of Napa’s most famous vineyards, is absolutely brilliant. The blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot spent 24 months in French oak. This one is still young for a 2004. Its dense purple color, big sweet kiss of cola, vanilla, cedarwood, oodles of black currants and dark cherries, a hint of licorice and unsmoked cigar tobacco, make for a classic almost Pauillac-like style of wine. This is youthful, full-bodied, promising and should hit its peak in another 4-5 years and last at least another two decades.

Lastly, the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Sycamore Vineyard, which is just to the south of Bosche, is 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, from the gravelly, clay and loamy soils of this area. It, too, was aged 24 months in French oak and seems dense, full-bodied, powerful and backward as well. Most of the 2004s are far more open than this cuvee and the Bosche, but there is plenty of ripe fruit, moderate tannin and a deep black currant, blackberry, smoky sweetness, with a full, voluminous mouth texture. Give this one another 2-3 years of bottle age and drink it over the following 15-20.

Full-bodied and built like a brick house, it has a rock-solid frame of firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness supporting the generous, crunchy fruit, finishing long with a touch of minerality. 2,101 cases produced.
