As it aerates, a wealth of wild berry and flower nuances develop and expand. Given the mind-bending concentration of this wine, it is staggeringly fresh and absolutely precise. The 2023 Norheimer Dellchen Riesling trocken GG is bright and clear on the elegant and finely juicy as well as spontaneously inviting nose that indicates perfectly ripe and healthy Riesling fruit that is fully intermingled with the terroir-driven flinty notes. Perfectly round and finessed on the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense and finely juicy, then utterly saline and savory as well as buoyant Dellchen that pairs purity with intensity and a long, complex and promising finish. The vines are sheltered and have underground aquifers. A tender lemon zest note holds traces of white summer blossom, wet stone and a touch of chervil-beautifully tender. The slender palate, likewise, is lemon-dominated, bright, sunny and friendly in its citric smile. The 2023 is agile, tingling and slender with a subtle stoniness. Reduction still clouds the nose. The palate is strait-laced, a streak, a vision of bundled citrus that unites ripe lemon and Meyer lemon zest. This is precise, concentrated, bullet-like in its relentless directness, citrus-scented, impactful and still tightly coiled. The wine is finely juicy as well as savory on the palate, probably not bone dry in terms of analysis but always in tension and never settling on the palate, as if it was just an idea of Riesling and not its materialization. This Hermannshöhle is not a cave (which it is only named after) but a bright Riesling ray to the heavens, a lasting flash of lightning from a thunderstorm that cannot be disliked or remain undrunk, even today. If you need a salty and spicy yet always seductively round palate-tickler now, please go ahead. But those who like to let the wine mature will not lose out. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Published: Nov 01, 2024 vinous：(96-98) ポイント (96-98) Drinking Window 2034 - 2070 From: Nahe, Pfalz & Mittelrhein-Of Wheat, Chaff and Thrill (Sep 2024) The 2023 Riesling Niederhauser Hermannshöhle Grosses Gewachs, from a south-facing shale site with just a few calcareous veins, is golden in color. The vines were planted in 1949, and they now bring just small yields of tiny berries with a different pulp/skin ratio. A gorgeous lift tells of citrus zest, with an ethereal touch of crushed citrus leaf and spicier herb. The palate is crystalline. It's a clear-cut, taut, pure vision of stone and citrus. This is a pure, poised, precise and concentrated wine. Time and again, it is astonishing that so much flavor, stone and energy can be captured in a wine of such taut proportions at 12.5% alcohol. Silky and lush on the palate, this is a full-bodied, elegant and generous, persistently intense, saline and structured Eichberg with firm tannins, lingering salts and generous juiciness. This is a real grand cru with a spectacular finish, even in a difficult (rainy) vintage such as 2021. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in February 2024. Friedrich Keller only brings his red wines onto the market two years after the harvest, after they have spent a year in barrels and are bottled either in the fall, January or in the spring of the second year after light filtration. Keller's wines are characterized by clear, elegant fruit, a fresh palate and silky texture. They are deeply calm wines that clearly express the different vineyard sites. The 2021s are outstanding, and the 2022s are surprisingly difficult to compete with, at least in their youth. I didn't taste the two vintages side by side, though, but a few months apart.     古くはドイツ皇帝や欧州の貴族に愛飲された歴史を持つ名門醸造所。繊細でドライ、複雑でしっかりとした構成と深みを持つワイン。 1868年ドクター・ロバート・ヴァイル氏がドイツのラインガウ地方キートリッヒ村に畑を購入、1875年にワイナリーを設立しました。ドイツの醸造所としては比較的歴史の浅い醸造所ですが、時のドイツ皇帝ヴィルヘルム2世が、ロバート　ヴァイルの造るグレーフェンベルガー・アウスレーゼをこよなく愛し、皇帝主催の正餐会に出したり、外遊の際に持参したことなどから名声を博しました。 1988年、サントリーがこの醸造所の経営権を取得。4代目であり、現在の当主であるヴィルヘルム・ヴァイル氏がそのまま指揮を執り、畑や醸造所の改善を行い、益々品質に磨きをかけています。また、この年から現在まで連続してトロッケンベーレンアウスレーゼの収穫に成功し、ラインガウのこれまでの記録を塗り替える快挙を成し遂げ、ドイツのみならず国際的にも非常に高い評価を獲得しています。 「キートリッヒャー・グレーフェンベルク リースリング トロッケン GG」は、銘壌グレーフェンベルクは「伯爵の山」という意味。スレートと砂、少量の粘土が適度に混じり、南西向きで最大60%の急斜面。伝統的な2400Lの木桶を用い、4週間かけて発酵後、8ヶ月熟成。バトナージュ2回。 完熟したミラベルやプラムなどの凝縮した果実と鉱物的なニュアンスのアロマが典型的なグレーフェンベルク畑のワイン。フィネスがあり、繊細でエレガント。特級畑ならではの力強い果実味と構成力があるワインです。 WEINGUT ROBERT WEIL KIEDRICHER GRAFENBERG RIESLING TROCKEN GG ロバート・ヴァイル キートリッヒャー・グレーフェンベルク リースリング トロッケン GG 生産地：ドイツ ラインガウ 原産地呼称：gU. RHEINGAU ぶどう品種：リースリング 100% アルコール度数：13.0% 味わい：白ワイン 辛口 ワインアドヴォケイト：95+ ポイント Rating 95+ Release Price NA Drink Date 2030 - 2060 Reviewed by Stephan Reinhardt Issue Date 24th Sep 2021 Source September 2021 Week 4, The Wine Advocate Entirely vinified in large, partly renewed oak, the 2020 Kiedrich Grafenberg Riesling Trocken GG opens deep, pure, refined but also very intense and complex on the highly attractive nose that is full, generous and aromatic and reveals more oak aromas than the premiers crus Klosterberg and Turmberg. On the palate, this is a very elegant, refined and balanced Riesling with a sweeter or rounder taste than the Turmberg (although it's analytically less sweet), but it reveals a similar saline vibrancy. The richer and rounder sensation might be due to the loess-loam components of the Grafenberg phyllite terroir compared to the shallower terroir of the Turmberg, but richness and power are the nature of the Grafenberg, which is still fresh and refined enough to represent its coolish terroir character as well. Since the 2020 will be released only in September 2022 (so 12 months later than former vintages), I assume it will become brighter, finer and purer over the next 12 months. Tasted in August 2021.

On the palate, the 2021 is very fine but also intense, savory, saline and lush, leading to a long, intense and highly digestible finish with crunchy and cleansing slate features. Drinkable now, but best from 2023. ワインアドヴォケイト：96 ポイント Rating 96 Release Price NA Drink Date 2030 - 2065 Reviewed by Stephan Reinhardt Issue Date 24th Sep 2021 Source September 2021 Week 4, The Wine Advocate Aged on the full lees over two winters and racked in late July this year (so after 22 months sur lie), the 2019 Monte Vacano is deep, intense and refined on the iodine and flinty, highly complex and precise nose that represents the phyllite terroir of the steep Lay plot of the Grafenberg amazingly well, especially after a day in the opened bottle. On the palate, this is a highly elegant, crystalline, enormously complex, dense, round and rich as well as juicy Riesling that reveals a firm and sustainable structure with fine tannins from renewed large oak barrels that also add a certain sweetness to the finish that is enormously salty, long and tensioned. This is another impressive Riesling from the Grafenberg, and it is richer and more powerful than the more filigreed Burg Scharfensteiner. But is it the "better" wine? The 2019 Monte Vacano seems to be even richer than the gorgeous, inaugural 2018. The palate, though enormously salty, still trails behind the precise nose at this early stage, but since this is a wine to be aged, this is nothing to worry about. The wine is currently offered for 140 euros through subscription and will be delivered in April next year. Tasted in August 2021.

The idea was to make a wine as it would have been made in the late 19th century. All the vines are own-rooted; the grapes were harvested without selection into ripeness grade, pressed in a 70-year-old basket press for 12 hours, then gravity-fed without sedimentation into a 60-year-old Fuder to ferment spontaneously. The nose is very subtle, with lemon emanating gently. The palate is dense but on light feet, with a concentrated creaminess. All the boldness of the estate is channeled into pure elegance. It's already crunchy and saline on the fascinating nose. Lush and round on the palate, this is a highly elegant, refined and marvelously balanced Scharzhofberger with a long, complex and saline finish. Mouth-watering but also dense and textured, this is a highly intense and complex Spätlese with the concentration of an Auslese. There are fine and crunchy tannins structuring this enormous new entry that will probably be auctioned due to the famous origin and the naturally low quantity.
