Try in 2029. ワインアドヴォケイト：98 ポイント Rating 98 Release Price NA Drink Date 2033 - 2070 Reviewed by William Kelley Issue Date 8th Apr 2022 Source April 2022 Week 1, The Wine Advocate Wafting from the glass with aromas of blackberries and plums mingled with notions of pencil shavings, burning embers and creamy new oak, the 2019 Haut-Brion is full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a textural attack that segues into an ample and enveloping core of fruit, concluding with a long, expansive finish. Broad-shouldered and muscular, its rich, powdery tannins are already seamlessly integrated; and though it's labeled at 15% alcohol, far higher than the great vintages of yesteryear, it avoids any sense of over-ripeness. Jean-Philippe Delmas is delighted with his 2019s, and justly so, as this rich, dramatic and unusually powerful vintage is a great success for Ch?teau Haut-Brion (and its neighbor, La Mission Haut-Brion). In the vineyards, a touch more Cabernet Sauvignon is being planted these days, but the evolution is subtle, as the 2019 blend remains very much in line with tradition at this address, at 49% Merlot and 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance Cabernet Franc. That predominance of Merlot, combined with Haut-Brion's warm mesoclimate, have delivered an above-average alcohol level, labelled at 15%. On the white side of the ledger, we can expect a touch more Sauvignon Blanc in the future, as Delmas notes that S?millon tends to lose its acidity rapidly in warm vintages. In both colors, the vineyard team are working to mitigate the effects of climate change and minimize the quantities of copper employed in treatments throughout the year. In the cuvier and chai, winemaking remains very classical, with fermentation in Haut-Brion's proprietary two-tier stainless steel tanks, designed to maximize the quantity of high-quality free-run juice; malolactic fermentation in tank; and maturation in new oak barrels, some 80% of which are produced in house by S?guin Moreau (complemented by purchased barrels from Demptos and Taransaud). White grapes are whole-cluster pressed with great attention to pH, the musts protected with dry ice, and bottled with some 25 parts per million free sulfites, without much in the way of dissolved carbon dioxide. Jeb Dunnuck：98-100 ポイント Compared to the La Mission Haut-Brion, the 2019 Chateau Haut-Brion is more backward and mineral-laced, with a dense purple color as well as notes of blueberry liqueur, black cherries, new leather, scorched earth, graphite, camphor, liquid rock-like minerality, and an almost Hermitage-like burning embers character. It doesn't have the overt power of Mouton, nor the sexiness of Chateau Margaux, yet it builds slowly and incrementally, with flawless balance, full-bodied richness, ultra-fine tannins, and a magical finish. My money is on this being one of the all-time greats from this address, in the same league as the 2009, 2010, 2015, 2016, and 2018. A dark, virile wine, the 2019 impresses with its vertical energy and statuesque elegance. It's a Haut-Brion that will only reveal itself over many years. Today, the density and resonance are super-impressive and also hugely promising. Classic savory and mineral notes start to emerge over time. I can't wait to see how this ages. Antonio Galloni. A strong case in its favor could certainly be made. Soaring from the glass with aromas of blackberries, raspberries, rose petals, violets, pencil shavings and vine smoke, it's full-bodied, layered and sensual, with a strikingly vibrant core of fruit that's framed by ripe, powdery tannins and bright acids, concluding with a penetrating, mouthwateringly saline finish of almost interminable duration. Dark fruit, too. Full-bodied, yet agile and fine, with a linear flow of tannins that run through the center of palate. The finesse of the tannins is exceptional, like raw silk and changing all the time. Cool and energetic, yet reserved. All the elements are so wonderfully woven together. It's as if all the Chateau Margaux signatures are dialed up to eleven, but without losing any of the classic Margaux character. The purity of the red-toned fruit is just breathtaking. The Merlot was picked early, but then rain during harvest delayed the ripening of the Cabernets, which turned out to be a huge advantage. It unfurls to reveal exquisitely defined black fruit infused with graphite, Japanese nori and just a hint of potpourri and crushed stone. This is supremely well focused, refined and correct, so much so that you would think it comes from a cooler growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant, filigreed tannins that envelop the senses. Flavors of blackberry and bilberry, tinged with sea salt and black pepper, merge into a slightly more sensual finish that is still quintessentially Margaux. I used the word "effortless" in my note from barrel, and that rings true in bottle, though maybe there is now even more persistence. Quite stunning. Neal Martin. Incredible notes of blackcurrants, blueberries, sandalwood, cedar, and loads of floral tones all dominate the bouquet, and this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, flawless integration in its tannins, acidity, and fruit, building structure, and an almost 'iron fist in a velvet glove' like mouthfeel. Reminding me of the 2016, yet with even more density, it's a quintessential Chateau Margaux that will benefit from a decade of cellaring and keep for 50 years or more.(6/2020)

Medium-bodied with jaw-dropping elegance, the palate is finely textured and yet built like a brick house with a super taut backbone and exquisitely knit acidity. The intense black and red fruit flavors are accented by layers of mineral and floral notions, finishing with incredible length and depth. Undeniably stunning. “I loved it!” winemaker Nick Gislason told me when I asked him for his thoughts on the 2018 vintage. “Everything is just really perfumey with a lot of verve and a lot of freshness. It’s a wholesome vintage, if that makes sense? The canopies were big and healthy; there was a lot of life in the vineyard. Full-bodied, this voluptuous beauty is seriously singing in the mouth, belting out vibrant red and black fruit flavor layers, all framed by very fine, rounded, ripe tannins and a wonderful freshness, finishing with persistent perfumed fruit and a spring in its step. 1,778 cases and 600 magnums were produced. ［生産者よりコメント］ 今年ご紹介する2つのワインは2015シラー「Trouver L'arene」と2015グルナッシュ「Le Chemin vers l'heresie」です。この2つのワインは間違いなく成功です。2015は厳しいヴィンテージといった批判もありますが、クオリティはとても素晴らしいものです。自画自賛するのも恥ずかしいですが、私の畑は神に祝福されている様に毎年非常に良い葡萄が育っています。 2015年のシラーは「Trouver L'arene」（アリーナを見つける）と名付けました。セオドア・ルーズベルト大統領が、1910年にパリのソルボンヌ大で行ったスピーチ「The man in the arena」に私が大好きな部分があります。 「批判はどうでもよい。つまり人がどれだけ強く躓いたか、行動力のある辣腕の人にやらせたらどこがもっとうまくできたかなんて粗探しはどうでもよい。 名誉はすべて、実際にアリーナに立つ男にある。その顔は汗と埃、血にまみれている。勇敢に戦い、失敗し、何度も何度もあと一歩で届かないことの繰り返しだ。 そんな男の手に名誉はある。なぜなら失敗と弱点のないところに努力はないからだ。常に完璧を目指して現場で戦う人、偉大な熱狂を知る人、偉大な献身を知る人、価値ある志のためなら自分の身を粉にして厭わない人…結局最後に勝利の高みを極めるのは彼らなのだ。最悪、失敗に終わっても少なくとも全力で挑戦しながらの敗北である。彼らの魂が眠る場所は、勝利も敗北も知らない冷たく臆病な魂と決して同じにはならない。」 大事なことは「目的に向かって行動すること」です。勇気を持ってすれば何でも出来るということ。私も、全ての頭脳を使い、どうやって美味しいワインを造る事が可能なのか考えなければいけません。美味しいワインを造るためには想像力や才能ではなく自分に自信を持ち、詳細なデータに気を配り、一生懸命働くことだと分かりました。これが良い結果に繋がりました。ルーズベルトの言葉を読み返して頂ければ、すぐにこのワインとの関連性がわかることでしょう。このスーパーモデルのようなシラーは、例えるならば「味覚のお祭り騒ぎ」です。しっかりとしたタンニンがありますが、とても繊細で優しいエレガントさを持っています。 グルナッシュには「Le Chemin vers l'heresie」（異端への道筋）と名付けました。「heresie」は正当な信条とは正反対の意味です。通常信仰に使う言葉ですが、「一般の人とは違う視点を持った人」という意味にも使われます。（非同調、非正統性の意。）私がそうだということにもう説明の必要はないでしょう。このワインは「異端への道筋」だけでなく「ワインセラーへの道筋」でもあります。忍耐と時間があれば更に美味しさが増します。しかしあなたはきっと我慢できないでしょう。

      株の売買をしていたディックが、田舎暮らしにあこがれてナパの地を踏んだのが１９７０年代のこと。 自宅の畑で葡萄の栽培を始め、やがてワイン造りへと導かれていきます。 １９８２ヴィンテージまでは、 『ケイマス・ヴィンヤード』 でケイマスの創設者＆オーナーである “チャーリー・ワグナー” とともに醸造し、ケイマスのグレース・ファミリーとして生産。 １９８３ヴィンテージから自らのラベルでの登場となります。 カベルネ・ソーヴィニヨン１００パーセントによるそのワインは、瞬く間に世界中のワイン愛好家を魅了し、カリフォルニア・カルト・ワインの代名詞的存在として一世を風靡することとなります。 現在でも、「スクリミング・イーグル」「ブライアント・ファミリー」と並ぶウルトラ・カルト・ワインとなっていて、現地でも手に入れることすら難しいワインです。 ワイン・メーカーは、２０００ヴィンテージまで「ダラ・ヴァレ」「スクリミング・イーグル」等、数々のカルト・ワイン、ウルトラ・プレミアム・ワイン、パーフェクト（１００点）ワインを造り上げ、“ワインの女神” とも呼ばれている “ハイジ・ピーターソン・バレット”。 ２００１ヴィンテージからは「ジョセフ・フェルプス」等で腕を磨き、「マイナー・ファミリー」の造り手としても有名な “ギャリー・ブルックマン” に変更となりました。 また、ディックの息子である “カール・グレイス” が、ヴィンヤード・マネージャーとして畑を管理しています（スタッグス・リープ・ワイン・セラーズのマネージメントも行っています）。

      【純粋なビオディナミを実践する、ピュリニーの大御所】 ピュリニー・モンラッシェ随一の造り手がドメーヌ・ルフレーヴ。全ブルゴーニュの白ワインにおいて最高の造り手といっても過言ではない。 ルフレーヴはピュリニー・モンラッシェにおよそ25haものブドウ畑を所有する大ドメーヌであり、その大部分をグラン・クリュとプルミエ・クリュが占めている 。 ルフレーヴで特筆すべきことは、ビオディナミによるブドウ栽培である。80年代末、ブドウ畑の状態に疑問を抱いたアンヌ・クロードは、地質学の専門家であるクロード・ブルギニヨンの講義を聞いたのがきっかけで、ビオディナミに傾倒。故フランソワ・ブーシェの指導のもと、天体の運行に従って農作業を行い、自然界の物質から作られた特種な調合物で土壌の活性化を図るビオディナミ農法を実践する。 ワインの醸造は、歴代のレジスール（醸造長）が指揮をとる。フランソワ・ヴィロ、その息子のジャン・ヴィロと続き、1989年にはムルソーの造り手として高い評価を得るピエール・モレが後を継いだ。彼はおよそ20年間にわたり、ルフレーヴのワインの品質をさらなる高みまで向上させた後、2008年にそのバトンを若手のエリック・レミーへ渡してドメーヌを去った。 ルフレーヴのワインはいずれのクリマもテロワールをありのまま表現したもので、過熟感や過剰な樽香とは無縁なスタイルをとる。 ムルソー・スー・ル・ド・ダーヌやピュリニー・モンラッシェでもクラヴォワヨンのように、比較的若いうちから楽しめるクリマもあるが、ピュセルやシュヴァリエ・モンラッシェは鋼のように強靭なミネラルが落ち着くまでに長い年月を要す。 しかしながら待てば待った分だけ、いざ開けた時の感動は大きく、世のルフレーヴ・マニアを虜にして離さないのである。 【畑、醸造の特徴】 ルフレーヴはピュリニーとシャサーニュの双方にバタールを所有。1.91haはこのグラン・クリュ最大の所有面積であり、他には1haを越える所有者すらいない。表土は厚く、そのためシュヴァリエのエレガンスに対して、バタールはリッチでボリュームが大きい。
